  1. Lock your device with a passcode/fingerprint:

  1. Set your phone to auto lock when unused:

Go to Settings -> Display -> Sleep and set it to a low value, along with Settings -> Security -> Automatically Lock

  1. Limit the visibility of notifications on your phone:

Go to Settings -> Notifications -> Show Previews, and set to When Unlocked


Go to Settings -> Sound & Notifications -> When Device Is Locked, and set to Hide Sensitive Notification Content (may vary between devices)

  1. Add uBlock Origin to your browser

  2. Set up automatic software updates

  3. Install & use an encrypted messenger

    1. First choice; use Signal
    2. For communicating with people that don’t have Signal, use Whatsapp
  4. Set up a password manager

  5. Set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
